Three Post-Thanksgiving Recovery Tips
How was your Thanksgiving weekend?
Did you follow the advice I gave you in podcast episode 130, Thanksgiving Day Prep
OR
did you have a f*it moment and decide to freestyle your eating all weekend?
Today is a new day…
…and it comes with a new opportunity to move forward.
To help you out, here are my THREE TIPS TO KEEP IT MOVING AFTER THANKSGIVING.
#1. Check your mindset and move on. What's done is done. Feeling guilty and berating yourself is a waste of time and energy. Chalk up the overeating/overdrinking to just not knowing better and move on. You have a new opportunity to do better today.
#2. Avoid eating leftovers. If you bought home slices of pie and a plate of all your faves, throw it away. If the thought of throwing away food freaks you out, then you REALLY need to toss it. Overeating just because you don't want to "waste food" is not going to help you lose the next 10 pounds. It's only food and there will be another meal in your future.
#3. Do something active. Sitting around doing your (extended) Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping on your phone seems great, but do your mind and your body a favor and go out and do something to get your body moving and your lungs pumping. Talk a walk and think of everything that you're grateful for on this new day.
You can do it.
Remember, nothing will change, if nothing changes.
P.S. Shout out to podcast listener and SDF member who sent me a DM after listening to the Thanksgiving Day Prep podcast.
HINT: you can apply this process before ANY meal. When you join SDF, you get instant access to the process. Blow your own mind at your next meal after implementing what you're learning.
