The problem is most of us have good intentions to do these things, but life just gets in the way and we kinda fall off.  Sound familiar?


  • Sure it’s easy to drink 3 liters of water Monday – Friday because you’re sitting at your desk all day. On the weekends, it’s nearly impossible to get all that water in.
  • Ditching the white stuff is no problem for breakfast (eggs) and even lunch (salad), but then happy hour hits and um…how did that fried crab bite get in my mouth?

There are a few reasons why you tend to fail even though you have the BEST intentions.

  1. You don’t plan. Life doesn’t happen the same every day and when you’re caught off guard, you make the wrong decisions.
  2. You don’t know what your bad habit triggers are. For example, I had a lovely habit of eating a few mini Snickers every day after lunch. Not because I needed them, but it just became a habit. Eating lunch triggered the habit of eating Snickers. I didn’t want them after breakfast…just lunch.
  3. You rely on will power to succeed. Willpower alone won’t help you. Sometimes you feel motivated to exercise. Other times, you brain is telling you to go work out, but your body is like, “heck naw, I’m not going to that gym today!”
  4. Your goal is too big. You decide that tomorrow, you’re going to run 3 miles, cut out sugar, meal prep for the week and do 100 squats. Try focusing on one thing at time darling.
  5. Too much negative self-talk. You let the Negative Nelly in your head win the debate. One bowl of ice cream before bed won’t kill me…

Any of this sound familiar?


When I was struggling to lose weight, I always had the goal to lose 10 pounds in a month. I have no idea where that number came from, but looking back, it was a pretty lofty goal. That’s about 2 ½ pounds a week. Can we say starvation?


When I finally did unlock the key to my own weight loss, it took me about 5 months to lose 20 pounds. That’s a far cry from 10 pounds a month! What’s the saying? Slow and steady wins the race…


That’s exactly why I created this monthly support group.


Focusing on changing one unhealthy habit at a time will increase your odds of success tremendously!


According to the International Journal of Medical Informatics, it’s easier to stick with a weight loss plan and lose the weight when you have social support.


And, researchers from The Miriam Hospital’s Weight Control and Diabetes Research Center found Health Coaches are effective in helping people lose weight and live a happier life.

How does this work?

  • At the beginning of each month, you pick a healthy habit you want to master (I suggest starting with the core SDF steps). For example, you want to MOVE MORE and have decided to make at least 150,000 steps for the month.
  • You declare your intention in the private Stop. Dieting. Forever. Facebook group and I, along with your fellow SDF peeps will cheer you on!
  • During the month, check in as often as you like on the status of your goal. I recommend daily to help keep you on track.
  • Post your successes (photos and video highly encouraged!)
  • Post your struggles as well for support by me
