A Hallmark Christmas Movie and Hot Chocolate

I sat on the couch in the family room snuggled up with Kevin under a big, gray blanket.

Saturday night date night was in effect and I got to pick what we were going to watch.

I turned right to the Hallmark channel (I mean obviously).

It's the Countdown to Christmas season!

A Fabled Holiday was on and I love a good story about Christmas magic.

**cue the holiday bells softly playing in the background**

As I watched the movie, I noticed myself thinking…

…a mug of spiked hot chocolate and Christmas cookies would be nice.

Wait, what?

I can't tell you the last time I had a Christmas cookie or a cup of hot chocolate.

It's just not something I indulge in (for obvious reasons), but the subliminal messaging to eat, drink and be merry are strong AF.

Wouldn't you agree?

Our brains are like toddlers.

If we don't tell it what to think, it takes direction from anywhere.

And the food companies know this.

So, what do they do?

Go overboard with the eat, drink, and be merry messaging all month long.

If you're not aware of what's happening, what do you do?

Eat. Drink. Be Merry.

It's a sneaky game they play with you.

They bombard you with direct and subliminal messaging to overindulge…

…you follow their lead.

Then, you…

  • stress out your digestive system with highly processed foods (aka fake food).

  • disrupt your restorative sleep with alcohol.

  • send your blood sugar on a never-ending roller coaster ride with excess sugar.

Oh, and you gain weight.

As soon as Christmas is over, guess who's waiting to pounce on your brain next?

The diet industry.

At this point they know…

…you are bloated, tired, and over overindulging.

They have you right where they want you.

And because you don't know how to tell your brain what to think, you are now soaking up all the diet industry messaging.

This happens every. single. year.

Here's how you can stop the holiday madness (aka Stop. Dieting. Forever.).

It's quite simple.

Learn how to think for yourself.

Create stronger thoughts than the ones the food and diet industries are telling you to believe.

Develop a mindset that supports your health rather than breaks it down.

What do you want to believe about sipping spiked hot chocolate and nibbling on Christmas cookies on the couch?

Don't let Swiss Miss tell you what you should be drinking.

FYI, the cocoa in Swiss Miss is processed with a chemical called alkali which can damage your digestive tract.

No thank you Swiss Miss.

To stop the holiday weight struggle, you want to develop thoughts like mine.

Because if your weight is still an issue, I'm pretty sure you're not thinking like me.

When you join SDF, I give you all my thoughts.

I leave nothing on the table.

I love living my LUXE life…

…and I want you to live your own LUXE life.
